Insurance & Billing
Insurance coverage in today's health care environment can be very complex. Most insurance carriers now determine the medical necessity for a procedure - NOT you or your physician. In addition, varicose vein treatment must be pre-determined (the process by which the insurance company decides whether or not the treatment is medically necessary and how many treatments you may be allowed) prior to any treatment. Any necessary documentation will be submitted in order to obtain the maximum benefit available for your treatment.
We are familiar with most insurance plans and will be more than happy to submit claims for non-cosmetic treatment on your behalf. Though we will call and check benefits for you prior to treatment, it is always a good idea for you to call as well. Because many variations in contracts and benefit levels exist, not to mention different deductibles and co-pays, it is always a good idea to check your benefit booklet in advance so there are no surprises. Please understand that insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company. You will be responsible for any balances remaining once your insurance company has satisfied it's obligation.
For your convenience, we accept Visa and Mastercard. We also provide a variety of "self-pay"plans for those patients with no insurance or large deductibles. For more information please visit our payment plan page or contact our billing department.
Finally, please keep in mind that cosmetic spider vein treatment is not a covered benefit with any insurance plan.
